Energo provides technical support to operators and other offshore organizations.  The project teams of experienced offshore engineers have a wide range of backgrounds.  As a result Energo can provide timely assessments and propose repairs to a variety of offshore and onshore structures.  Listed below is a  brief summary of Energo Engineering's SIM capabilities

Inspection Planning, Execution and Review

Energo provides a full spectrum of integrity management services to operator with offshore floating and fixed facilities. Energo works with offshore operators during the facility's design to develop risk-based or rule-based inspection plans for hull, mooring and topside structures with account for the facility's access constraints and features as well as regional logistics. The developed plans provide clear guidance on when structures need to be inspected, what the scope is and most importantly why these structures are being inspected. Energo also develops detailed inspection work packets which provide guidance to 3rd party inspection contractors for the on-site execution and documentation of structural inspections. The work packs include illustrations and photos of the structures being inspected as well as a means for documenting the inspections, ensuring consistency and required collection of data. Energo also provides on-site engineering support during offshore inspections to operators, ensuring continuous review and rapid response to inspection findings. Energo has also been involved in the development of corporate structural integrity programs for offshore operators as well as the development of risk based inspection guidelines for regulatory organizations.

Assessment of Existing Structures

Energo has extensive experience assessing fixed platforms from simplified structural assessments to ultimate strength analysis (pushover analysis). Energo has performed AP RP 2A Section 17 Reassessments (design level and ultimate strength level assessments), triggered by platform damage or new regulation requirements. We have also conducted Section 14 Change of Use Assessments (strength and fatigue analysis) triggered by platform additions and upgrades. Energo assists the operators with MMS submittals and permit applications. Energo is currently under contract to API, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) and several key operators (including BP) to develop a new API Recommended Practice for Structural Integrity management of Existing Platforms.

Anomaly Evaluation and Resolution (Repair Design)

In addition to the inspection planning and assessment services, Energo also assists clients address structural anomalies (i.e., damage). We support clients with the evaluation and prioritization of identified structural deficiencies as well as the development of engineered mitigation solutions. Mitigation may consist of structural repairs / retrofits or in many cases structural analysis and engineering demonstrate the anomaly has little or no impact on the structural capacity and no repairs are required. The following lists some of the fixed and floating structure repair types Energo has developed for clients. Fixed Platform Repair Design Underwater repairs Welded repairs (doublers, shear pups, double tees, etc.) Mechanical clamps (stressed clamps and stress grouted clamps) Member grouting Topside repairs Strengthening Welding repairs Conductor guide repairs Floating System Repair Design Panel breakers Connection detail repairs and retrofits  Plate renewals Weld repairs
