MMS Project 627 & MMS Project 650- Inspection Methodologies for Offshore Wind Turbine Facilities

Energo has been awarded a new study by the Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service (MMS), TAR No. 650, to further develop inspection practices for offshore wind energy structures. The work will focus on inspection of the turbine blades as well as determining the inclination of these structures. This is a follow-up on to the Energo MMS Study TAR No. 627 (download full report below). The work will be completed in June 2010. See MMS website; http://www.mms.gov/tarprojects/650.htm.

MMS Project No. 642 - Assessment Of Damage And Failure Mechanisms For Offshore Structures and Pipelines In Hurricanes Gustav and Ike

Energo recently completed a study for the MMS that catalogues and evaluates fixed and floating platforms and pipeline damage and destruction caused by hurricanes Gustav and Ike. The work evaluated what went right and what went wrong and identified issues with existing infrastructure that can be remedied prior to future hurricanes. Download the full Energo report.
